Daddy daughter date, the staff saw us come in on a Thursday afternoon and immediately sat us down. Prompt service. The chips and salsa were quickly on the table, our orders were taken, and my server Dustin could not have been more prompt. Food came out quickly, great ingredients, hot and fresh. I would not hesitate to come back. This is a hard recommend!!!

Gotta be the best restaurant in town, especially if you like spice. The New Mexico hot wings are probably the best wings I've ever had. Would love to steal the recipe. Jalapeno poppers are always an automatic order for us. Chips and salsa are solid. Burgers are good. New Mexico French dip sandwich is insane. Never had bad service experience and I've been here probably 10 times. Also, only place in town I can get decent chicharrones. Go try it for sure.

Eat here! We are from Texas and this place is amazing! The food had so much flavor. Do not come here expecting bland or watered down “Mexican” food. Highly recommend!

We have eaten at several Mexican restaurants in Farmington and been disappointed. The Chili Pod was a surprise. It doesn’t have the “New Mexican” flavor we were looking for, but it was flavorful and delicious Mexican food. Hubby had the rolled cheese enchiladas with red. He liked the depth of flavor in the sauce and cheese. He gives it a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. I had a grilled chicken breast (with red and jalapeño queso served on the side) The red wasn’t too spicy to my taste buds. Bonus, sopapillas were served with dinner. Would recommend a stop in for lunch/dinner. Beware, the salsa bite back. Biggest drawbacks: everything is à la carte and pricey. Parking: on the street or there is a small free parking area behind the building with a back entrance with 2 high steps. People in wheelchairs or problems walking will want to use the front entrance.

Great atmosphere, excellent New Mexico cuisine. Indoor and outdoor seating along the scenic, revitalized main street.

A true gem! We had the New Mexico spicy chicken wings. 8 juicy wings covered with a smoky red chili sauce and a side of perfectly crispy fries. The spice makes your lips burn but you lick your fingers all the same. Any sauce that rubs up on the fries is a special treat as well. The side of cooling ranch was fresh and tangy. Our server Dustin was very attentive. Highly recommend.

Have driven many times through Farmington and always meant to stop here. Finally did. Before the dinner rush hour and was able to take in the atmosphere. Tables were resin art as I have done this many times. Very one off interior. Nothing cookie cutter. Great metal divider. Great acid stained concrete. Ok it’s a restaurant so on to the food. Got the el patron Leopoldo steak with cheese enchilada and a side of jalapeño Mac n cheese. Excellent. Steak was thin but cooked as expected. She de salad was well presented. Chips and salsa was perfect with salsa in a chili pod dish. Nice touch. Waiter bartender was attentive great suggestions. Will be back next trip through town. Only thing needed is t-shirt/ hoodies soft goods for advertisement. Would wear it often!!!

This place is worth going out of the way for if you are a fan of New Mexico Green Chili. We found it on a road trip and strongly recommend it! We tried the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño poppers as an appetizer and fell in love. The salsa here is truly next level by the way! Just the right amount of heat and flavor. We had multiple refills it was that good. We decided to try multiple entrees to get a proper feel for the menu. We decided on an open faced Green Chili Burger with fries and our only regret was ordering one burger and not getting a second one! We also got the chili rellenos with red and green chili. They were delicious as well. It makes us sad that we don’t live closer and could enjoy this food more often. We will be back someday for sure!

Our first visit, and we were very pleased. Great atmosphere, and our server Dustin provided us with great menu recommendations . Their salsa was delicious, and our entrees were equally tasty, and hit all the right spots. We will definitely return and explore more of the menu.
